Here's an example of what is left in the
transmission after a lifetime of flushes rather than removing the pan and "doing
it right". Due to the way flush equipment works, it is physically impossible for
a flush to clean or remove the debris as this debris must travel though the
filter during the flush. If it were to travel through the filter, it would also
travel through the internals of the transmission causing damage. There are a few
legitimate cases where flushing the fluid is warranted - routine maintenance
isn't one of them. Stop overpaying!
